Gallery Clubhouse
THE DETAILS
The new Clubhouse for the Gallery Midtown, with resort-style pool and state of the art fitness center, is the amenity that separates the Apartment Community from other communities in the Museum District and Fan. It’s clean, modern design and gorgeous interiors are the crowning improvement to a neglected property once owned by imprisoned Richmond landlord Billy Jefferson.
Spy Rock Real Estate, with Boston-based Davis Cos., acquired the property and immediately began improvements to the neglected buildings and grounds. Several old brick garage buildings were demolished to create the site for the Clubhouse and pool. The new building also houses the leasing office and marks the entry to the central parking area.
The new clubhouse building has vastly improved the streetscape for this block of the Museum District. Where a graffiti ridden brick garage and dilapidated wood fence once crowded the sidewalk on this block of Nansemond, the new landscaping and large windows bring welcome life and activity to the street.
The Interior Designer was LKF Studio. The general contractor was Leipertz Construction and Engineering Consultants were AES (Civil), Speight Marshall & Francis (Structural), and Dunlap & Partners (MEP).
