The non-profit project:Homes acquired a former coal storage facility to create their first multi-family mid-rise in Richmond’s Swansboro neighborhood. Encompassing 83 low-income senior apartments, 2100 Bainbridge consists of a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom units. Boasting colorful, sloping volumes with areas dedicated to large murals, the building fosters a vibrant atmosphere in the neighborhood. Featuring a rehabilitated workshop as a shared community space, exposed steel evokes the industrial history of the site
